Petersburg homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Roof Repair Smedway grew out of Petersburg, ND job sites, not a corporate rollout plan — that's still how we staff every Hail Damage Roof Repair crew we send to Petersburg.
Ask to see our Petersburg, ND license and insurance certificate and you'll have it in your hand before the estimate even starts.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Every lead installer carries current Petersburg, ND credentials.
A midnight call gets the same urgency as a noon call.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
A roof rarely just fails one day — it usually spends months quietly showing signs that get written off as cosmetic.
The earlier one of these signs gets a proper look, the smaller the repair usually stays; waiting rarely makes a roof problem cheaper to fix.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
A gap that lets light through will let rain through eventually.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
Whatever the issue — emergency, routine, or somewhere in between — it gets handled by a crew that specializes in that exact type of work.
Read through the categories and you'll usually recognize your own roof problem in one of them — that's intentional, since we scope calls the same way we've organized this list.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
We schedule commercial jobs to minimize disruption to tenants and foot traffic wherever possible.
A full tear-off strips the roof to the decking, replaces any damaged boards, and rebuilds with new underlayment and shingles to current code.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners documented evidence, useful whether or not a claim gets filed.
Ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and unusual roof pitches get handled by our senior technicians specifically.
We keep this process the same whether it's a single shingle repair or a full Petersburg tear-off, because a predictable process is part of what makes a stressful roof problem manageable.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
Once approved, the crew completes the work to manufacturer spec and cleans the site before leaving.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
Being local means we're rarely the crew still driving in from somewhere else.
Every estimate is itemized so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Certifications stay current so material warranties remain valid after installation.
If the finished work doesn't match what was agreed, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Storm-damage jobs come with documentation formatted for how most Petersburg, ND adjusters review claims.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
Our guarantee covers our labor specifically: if the completed work doesn't match the agreed scope, we correct it at no extra cost.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
We'd rather explain a guarantee in plain language upfront than have a homeowner discover the fine print later.
We stage crews across Petersburg, ND so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Petersburg waiting.
Routes are planned around Petersburg's actual streets and access points, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival windows tend to hold up.
Coverage decisions are based on actual drive time from the nearest staged crew, not a fixed distance line on a map.
